Brandi Glanville is sharing an emotional update on her ongoing struggle with facial disfigurement, admitting she feels worse than ever.
On March 6, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to X (formerly Twitter) to post an unfiltered health update, revealing the toll her condition has taken on her life.
“I’ve been faking it, I’m f—ing miserable,” the 52-year-old wrote. “My best friend’s been in the ICU for two weeks & isn’t getting better. My face is worse than ever. It’s literally melted away.”
Glanville shared that her symptoms briefly improved when doctors at Cedars-Sinai put her on IV antibiotics and antifungal medication, but she couldn’t afford to continue treatment. She also claimed that doctors within her insurance network were unable to provide answers.
“I was forced to see doctors outside my insurance because the doctors at Kaiser had no clue,” she explained. “I need my life to change. That is my real-life health update.”
Her post comes just a day after she updated a fan on Instagram about her biopsy results from celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, who has been assisting in her diagnosis. When a follower asked about her test results, she replied, “No cancer, but the cultures take six weeks to grow, so no news yet but 🤞🏻.”
Glanville has been battling this unknown condition for over a year, revealing in December that she had spent more than $70,000 searching for answers. Despite trying multiple treatments, none have provided a lasting solution.
“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” she said. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”
Describing her symptoms, Glanville said she can feel and see what she believes to be a parasite moving beneath her skin, appearing like “tiny bubbles bursting” on her face.
“I feel like it’s s—ing or having babies in my face,” she added.
Despite seeking help from numerous doctors, she remains frustrated by the lack of a concrete diagnosis.
“I’m not getting my hopes up anymore,” she admitted. “This is a horrible thing to say, but even if it’s like a tumor, I want to know. I just want an answer. That would be amazing.”
