Chick-fil-A is bringing back a fan-favorite sandwich—now with a twist.
On Thursday, March 6, the fast-food chain announced that the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich will return to menus nationwide starting Monday, March 17, after a three-year hiatus. Originally introduced in 2017, the sandwich is making a comeback with three variations: original, spicy, and grilled.
Each version features juicy chicken (prepared according to preference), crispy bacon coated in a brown sugar and black pepper blend, Colby Jack cheese, lettuce, and smoky BBQ sauce—all served on a toasted, buttery sweet yeast bun.
To complement the sandwich, Chick-fil-A is also rolling out four refreshing new beverages featuring pineapple and dragonfruit flavors. These include:
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade – a creamy, frozen treat inspired by Chick-fil-A’s signature Icedream dessert
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade – a tropical twist on the brand’s classic lemonade
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea – a fruity take on a refreshing favorite
- Pineapple Dragonfruit Sunjoy – a blend of lemonade and sweetened iced tea
Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, shared in a press release that the new additions are designed to evoke “longer, brighter days and time spent outside with family and friends.”
The limited-time menu items will be available at participating locations through Saturday, June 7, while supplies last. Customers can check the Chick-fil-A app or website to see if the new offerings are available at their local restaurant.
