Michael Lohan Arrested on Assault Charge Following Allegations from Estranged Wife Kate Major

Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, was arrested on Friday at his home in Spring, Texas, in connection with a felony assault charge after his estranged wife, Kate Major, accused him of flipping her out of a chair.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, Major, 42, contacted authorities after spotting Michael, 64, in the parking lot of a medical building. Concerned that he was following her, she called 911, prompting a response from deputies.

During the interaction, Major alleged that Michael had assaulted her at their residence a few days earlier, leaving her in pain and discomfort. She provided evidence of bruising to a female deputy, leading authorities to arrest Michael at his home without incident.

Officials confirmed that Lohan is facing a charge of Continuous Family Violence and is being held on a $30,000 bond.

Michael and Major, who share two sons—Landon, 12, and Logan, 10—have had a tumultuous relationship marked by legal disputes. The couple wed in 2014 but separated in 2018 when Major filed for divorce, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage and seeking primary custody of their children, along with child support and alimony.

This latest arrest comes just months after a heated roadside altercation between the two in June 2023. In a video obtained by TMZ, the estranged couple was seen arguing in the middle of a Texas road. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from disagreements over living arrangements, with Michael alleging that Major had been staying at his home despite an active protection order against her. No charges were filed in that incident.

Michael Lohan, who also shares four children—including actress Lindsay Lohan, 38—with his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, has not publicly commented on his recent arrest.
