Elon Musk has broken his silence following a major reversal on his explosive claim involving President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.
After Trump returned to the White House for his second term, Musk emerged as a close ally and was appointed to lead the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), tasked with addressing wasteful spending across federal agencies.
As Tesla showrooms across the U.S. were targeted and vandalized, Trump publicly backed Musk, condemning the attacks as acts of domestic terrorism.
By the end of May, Musk’s tenure within the Trump administration had come to a close—an outcome that, for many, came as no surprise.
What the whole world didn’t expect was the implosion that followed after Musk’s departure.

Musk expressed his criticism towards Trump’s ‘one big beautiful bill’, which includes a number of temporary tax cuts until 2028, and a freeze on taxes for those working overtime, calling it a ‘disgusting abomination’.
Following this, Trump expressed that he was ‘disappointed’ with Musk’s comments, the billionaire lashed out at him on social media, making strong allegations toward the President in the process – by alleging that the 78-year-old was in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” he alleged on social media. “That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
Musk added in a follow-up tweet: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
The tweets have subsequently been deleted, and Musk failed to provide any evidence for these claims, with The White House’s Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, also dismissing it in a statement.
Now, with his tail between his legs, the billionaire conceded to rueing some of these comments.

“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” he posted on the platform today (June 11).
Replying to his former ‘first buddy’s’ comments while speaking to the press in his Oval Office, he was asked whether everything having been said meant their relationship was over.
“I would assume so, yeah,” he responded. “I’m too busy doing other things.
“You know, I won an election in a landslide. I gave him [Musk] a lot of breaks, long before this happened, I gave him breaks in my first administration, and saved his life in my first administration, I have no intention of speaking to him.”
Trump then added that there would be ‘serious consequences’ for Musk if he decided to fund any future Democratic campaigns, though he didn’t elaborate on what those consequences would be.
