Trump Responds to Allegations Elon Musk Used Drugs at White House
Former President Donald Trump has addressed recent allegations that billionaire Elon Musk was under the influence of drugs during visits to the White House.
The controversy stems from a New York Times report published weeks ago, citing multiple sources who claimed that Musk had allegedly used a mix of substances—including ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and Adderall—while actively campaigning and traveling. The report also mentioned that Musk reportedly carried a “pill box” of medications with him.
According to the Times, Musk was said to have taken these drugs, which have both recreational and medical uses, as frequently as once a day during the previous year. The report further claimed that his ketamine use was so regular that he allegedly experienced bladder issues linked to the drug.
Trump has since responded to the claims, though details of his statement remain under scrutiny as speculation around Musk’s behavior and health continues to circulate in political and media circles.
The sources were unable to confirm whether his alleged drug use took place while he worked within the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) or during the 2024 campaign bid, but Musk was not happy with the report and branded it ‘lies’.

“Also, to be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their a** off,” Musk wrote.
“I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven’t taken it since then.”
Fast forward to this week and Trump was asked about the report.
“I really don’t know, I don’t think so, I hope not,” Trump responded when asked if Musk had drugs at the White House.
“I wish him well… I just wish him well, very well, actually.”
The comments come after Trump and Musk had a huge falling out last week following the SpaceX founder stepping down from DOGE.
The feud seems to stem from the billionaire’s criticism of Trump’s ‘big beautiful bill’. Some key parts of the controversial bill includes no tax on Social Security, and no tax on overtime and tips.

Musk has gone on to try and link Trump to the Jeffrey Epstein files in tweets which have since been deleted, and he also called for the president to be impeached.
In one tweet, Musk seemed to be in agreement with another Twitter user that Trump should be impeached and his vice president, JD Vance, take over as POTUS.
The person in question posted: “President vs Elon. Who wins? My money’s on Elon. Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him.”
Musk proceeded to reshare the tweet and wrote ‘yes’ alongside it.

Addressing Musk’s exit from DOGE, Trump alleged that the tech billionaire was ‘wearing thin’ and asked him to step down as a result.
Trump added, per Truth Social: “I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!”
Musk proceeded to brand this as an ‘obvious lie’ and described Trump’s comments as ‘so sad’.
Meanwhile, in an interview with ABC News, Trump was asked about reports of a potential peacemaking chat with Musk.
He responded: “You mean the man who has lost his mind?” adding that he was ‘not particularly’ interested in chatting. He later added to CNN: “I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem.”
