People are saying Kamala Harris was ‘right’ after eerie warning about Trump resurfaces

Resurfaced Kamala Harris Clip Gains Attention Amid National Guard Deployment in Los Angeles

A clip of former Vice President Kamala Harris warning Americans about then-President Donald Trump’s alleged ambitions for “unchecked power” has resurfaced online amid escalating tensions in Los Angeles.

Since Friday, June 6, protests have erupted outside the Federal Building in downtown L.A., following Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids that drew widespread condemnation. In response, President Trump—currently in his second term after being re-elected in January—called for the arrest of demonstrators and ordered the deployment of 700 Marines, along with the mobilization of an additional 2,000 National Guard troops, to restore order.

However, the move has sparked a legal showdown. California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, announced plans to sue the Trump administration, arguing that the president violated protocol by failing to consult the state before mobilizing military forces.

As unrest continues to grip the city, a video clip of Harris from her time as Vice President has gained renewed attention on social media. In the footage, Harris warns of Trump’s desire for unchecked authority—a sentiment that many online users now see as prescient. The video was shared with the caption: “She warned us in just 3 minutes.”

The post continued: “Federalizing the National Guard in California isn’t ‘normal’. It’s the first move. Kamala Harris called it: Trump wants unchecked power and praised Hitler’s generals.”

In the video in question, Harris details how Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly, ‘a retired four star general’, confirmed to her that Trump ‘wanted generals like Adolf Hitler had’.

She says: “Donald Trump said that because he does not want a military that is loyal to the United States Constitution. He wants a military that is loyal to him.

“He wants a military who will be loyal to him, personally, one that will obey his orders even when he tells them to break the law or abandon their oath to the Constitution of the United States.

“In just the past week [late October 2024], Donald Trump has repeatedly called his fellow Americans the enemy from within, and even said that he would use the United States military to go after American citizens.

“And let’s be clear about who he considers to be the enemy from within, anyone who refuses to bend a knee or dares to criticize him would qualify, in his mind, as the enemy within, like judges, like journalists, like non partisan election officials.

“It is deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who is responsible for the deaths of 6 million Jews and hundreds of 1000s of Americans.”

The Democratic Party’s candidate went on to characterize Trump as a ‘fascist’, claiming he had become ‘increasingly unhinged and unstable’, before adding that in a second term ‘people like John Kelly would not be there to be the guardrails against his propensities and his actions’.

She concluded: Those who once tried to stop him from pursuing his worst impulses would no longer be there and no longer be there to rein him in.

“So the bottom line is this, we know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power.”
