Oklahoma Home Featuring Full-Scale Oval Office Replica Hits Market—and Sparks Debate

A home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has the internet talking—not for its location or price, but for what’s inside.

When searching for a dream home, most buyers have a typical wish list: enough bedrooms for the family, maybe a guest room, some yard space for pets, and, if you’re splurging, perhaps a pool. What isn’t usually on that list? A full-scale replica of the White House’s Oval Office.

Yet that’s exactly what you’ll find inside a house recently listed for sale in the Country Aire Estates neighborhood. The 1,446-square-foot property at 2601 W Hartford Street went on the market April 24, and its unexpected presidential flair has gone viral.

Priced at $234,900 and listed on Zillow, the home is described as “meticulously maintained” and “full of character and thoughtful updates.” According to the listing, the house was taken down to the studs in 2005, receiving updated insulation and drywall to provide a modern foundation.

Design-wise, the home offers cork flooring, a stylish living room with a rounded corner fireplace, a cozy dining area, and a galley kitchen with bar-top seating. But it’s the full-scale Oval Office replica—complete with the Resolute Desk lookalike and classic presidential décor—that has social media users divided.

Some are amazed by the dedication and detail, while others find it downright bizarre. Either way, it’s not every day a slice of the White House hits the Oklahoma real estate market.

It continues: “The private Primary Suite includes a recently updated Bathroom with new counters and a tiled shower. Two additional spacious Bedrooms plus a full Bathroom nearby complete the interior. Outside, unwind on the large covered Patio and enjoy a quiet, private backyard.”

However, what it fails to mention until you click on the gallery of images accompanying the listing is the detailed replica of the Oval Office – antique globe, framed portrait of Emanuel Leutze’s Washington Crossing the Delaware (1851) and all.

And it’s not taken long for people to weigh in.

A Twitter account called Zillow Gone Wild took to its page to share images of the house.

The caption reads: “Me: can we go to the diner. Mom: we’ve got diner at home. Me: can I at least go to the White House. Mom: you are never going to believe this.”

One user said: “Ok, now this one I absolutely love! Talk about unique ideas for the interior. And folks driving by would never even know.”

However, others were left far from convinced.

“Just when you think you’ve seen it all,” another added.

And a final simply resolved: “I’ll never judge a house by the exterior ever again.”
