People Spot Controversial New Item for Sale on Trump’s Website That Could Violate the Constitution

A new item for sale on Donald Trump’s official online store is raising eyebrows—and accusations of constitutional violations.

Eagle-eyed observers online have noticed merchandise hinting at a potential third presidential run for Trump, a move that would directly contradict the U.S. Constitution. According to the 22nd Amendment, no individual can be elected president more than twice.

Despite this, Trump has continued to tease a possible run in 2028, following his return to the White House in January. The idea has sparked controversy, with many pointing out the clear constitutional barrier.

However, U.S. Representative Andy Ogles is seeking to change that. He has proposed an amendment to the law that would allow someone to be elected president up to three times. His suggested revision reads:

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”

Whether this proposal gains traction remains to be seen—but for now, the merchandise continues to fuel debate about democracy, precedent, and the rule of law.

He argues that the gap between Trump’s first and potential second term should allow him to run again in 2028.

It seems the Trump team might already be gearing up for a third bid for the White House—his official online store is now selling ‘Trump 2028’ hats and T-shirts.

The hat, priced at $50, comes with the description: “The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules with the Trump 2028 high crown hat. Fully embroidered with a snap closure in the back, this will become your new go-to hat.”

Reactions on social media have been swift. One user called the merchandise “disgusting,” while another wrote on Twitter: “He really thinks he can violate the Constitution and the two-term limit… what a joke.”

UNILAD has reached out to the White House for comment.

Although Donald Trump has expressed interest in pursuing a third term as president—potentially by exploiting a suggested “loophole” to bypass constitutional limits—his approval ratings are currently at a historic low.

According to the Pew Research Center, only 40% of poll respondents approve of Trump’s performance in office, marking a seven-point drop since February.

In a separate Reuters/Ipsos poll, participants were asked whether Trump should seek a third term. The results were decisive: three-quarters of respondents said he should not. This includes a majority of Republican respondents—53%—who also opposed the idea, despite Trump’s stated desire to run again, even though the U.S. Constitution prohibits it.

One proposed strategy for Trump’s return involves Vice President JD Vance running in 2028, then resigning if elected, potentially paving the way for Trump to reassume the presidency—a controversial scenario raising serious legal and ethical questions.
