The 52-year-old Belgian royal was said to be on her way to the country when the plane she was riding on had to make a sudden landing after it suffered a crack to the windshield during her flight.

Mathilde was making her way towards the country for a three-day solo trip that was rolled out by the UNICEF Belgium and UNICEF Costa Rica. This is when the plane suffered from a frightening crack all of a sudden.

The safety measures enabled the plane to skip the queue and land before waiting for planes in incidences of emergency.

But those on board were able to steer the plane to safety with the jet landing at San Jose Juan Santamaria International Aiport just 15 minutes before schedule.

While the incident did spark major concerns for those on board, it seemed like the issue didn’t cause too much panic to those on board.

One royal commentator confirmed the incident and added pictures of what happened and how she was perfectly fine and carrying out regular duties as per her schedule.
