Donald Trump has confirmed that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin have made a serious breakthrough in the war against Ukraine.
The 90-minute long phone call on Wednesday saw both leaders sit down and put the framework into action for historic summits between the US and Moscow.
Trump made the bombshell announcement through a long post on the Truth Social account where he declared how the war needed to come to an end and had gone on for far too long.
He also shared how both leaders wished to visit one another’s nations soon. Trump would also be the first American head of state to visit Russia after former US President Barack Obama’s reign in 2013.
While announcing these negotiations, Trump stated that the goal was to put an end to the millions of deaths arising in war with Ukraine. He also laughed and joked about Putin using the terms, it’s common sense as the need for it to end.
While speaking, Trump added that the goal was to end the senseless loss of life and work closely together towards a common objective. This landmark discussion is being seen as a stronger link between not only Russia and Ukraine but also Russia and the US.
