A woman has claimed that she successfully paid off her college debt by posing as a Donald Trump MAGA supporter—and her strategy paid off in a big way.
Politics can be a polarizing topic, and in today’s highly charged climate, aligning yourself with a particular party—especially publicly—can lead to unexpected attention. For this woman, leaning into a controversial persona turned out to be surprisingly lucrative.
For @chckpeasm, the gamble paid off—big time.
As a young woman struggling to cover her university tuition, she discovered one fast and unexpected way to get the cash she needed: by tapping into people’s sense of political freedom and the desire to protect it.
Known only as Princess Q on X, she revealed her strategy in a tweet, thanking MAGA supporters for backing her—and helping launch her career.

She wrote: “Still a big shoutout to the Trump supporters who helped me finish school (debt free), move to Los Angeles, and prove myself in social media and marketing psychology—which in turn spearheaded my career.”
So, how did she pull it off?
It all started back in 2018, when she first went viral after posting a tweet that claimed her parents had cut her off and refused to pay her university tuition. The reason? Her outspoken support for Donald Trump.
“I will not hide any longer,” she declared, alongside a photo of herself wearing a red “Make America Great Again” bucket hat. “The left has made us feel as if us Black Republicans should hide. But not anymore.”
According to her, the social media post prompted a harsh response from her parents, who allegedly withdrew their financial support. In response, she turned to the internet for help—sharing a GoFundMe link and appealing to others for donations.
“If you find it in your hearts to help this young, Black Republican pay for school, it would be appreciated,” she wrote.
And help they did.
Also known as Quran, she went on to tell the truth to Elle magazine after funding her college degree.
She shared that she was not a MAGA supporter, and that she made it all up for financial gain.
Now, if you thought she only bagged a couple thousand dollars after asking for donations, you’d be so off base.
In fact, she revealed that the whole scam was revealed as a lie just one day later, after she collected ‘in the neighborhood of $150,000’.
As for her motives, she said she did it to bring attention to the 2018 election, and to stop people from voting for the Republicans.
She said: “Voting is coming up so I just wanted to remind people that Republicans are stupid and shouldn’t hold the majority anymore.
“Minimum wage is pathetically low and it’s not a living wage either so how are we supposed to survive?’
“And then the people who say ‘go to college and get a better job,’ like anyone can afford that, and it won’t guarantee you a job either.”
She added that the whole thing was meant to be a ‘joke,’ as she ‘saw that other black girl that posted about being a black Trump supporter and I wanted to make fun of her’.
While she said that she gave the money back, she instead admitted to making that part of the ‘narrative’ up so that she could avoid ‘weirdos’ coming after her.
She said: “The Trumpies saw my old tweets about Obama and realized maybe I might have been lying. But I was faster and took everything before it could be taken from me.”
