Inside Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s Expanding Property Empire

While Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are best known for their chart-topping hits and creative influence in the entertainment world, their ventures into real estate are proving equally noteworthy. Gomez—an award-winning singer, actress, and the visionary behind the billion-dollar beauty brand Rare Beauty—has cultivated a brand that extends far beyond music and film. Blanco, a Grammy-winning producer responsible for some of the most iconic songs of the last decade, has similarly established a lasting legacy through his genre-defining sound.

Now, the power couple is turning heads in a new arena: real estate. Their impressive portfolio stretches coast to coast—from sunny California to the vibrant streets of New York City—showcasing not only their artistic flair but also their strategic approach to wealth building. Following years of individual investments, Gomez and Blanco took a major step in their relationship and their real estate journey, recently purchasing their first home together after announcing their engagement last year.

Read on to explore the homes that reflect their evolving style, shared vision, and love for design.

Casa Blanco

In November 2019, Blanco purchased an ivy-covered estate in West Hollywood from Tinder co-founder Sean Rad for $9.2 million. With the help of BonVivant Interiors and Keefe Butler of Studio BAD, he transformed the 5,600-square-foot property into a serene, design-forward retreat.

The result—featured in Architectural Digest—is a dreamy oasis complete with an alfresco dining area nestled in lush greenery, a Mariah Carey-inspired dressing room, and a guesthouse-turned-home theater adorned with velvet-tufted walls. The five-bedroom, six-bath estate also boasts a formal dining room, elegant living room, airy family space, an all-white chef’s kitchen, and a luxurious primary suite. French doors throughout the home open to manicured lawns and a sparkling swimming pool, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.

Beverly Hills Estate

In December 2024, Gomez and Blanco quietly acquired a $35 million Spanish-style estate in Beverly Hills, once owned by Joker director Todd Phillips. Originally designed in 1928 by renowned architect Wallace Neff, the 7,000-square-foot residence has been meticulously restored and thoughtfully expanded. It now features seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and elegant period details throughout. Two additional structures on the property include a state-of-the-art recording studio, a full gym, and a private theater. Nestled on over three-quarters of an acre, the lush grounds are anchored by a stone-wrapped pool and spa, a glass-walled greenhouse, and a dedicated fitness center. The off-market purchase was among the priciest real estate deals of 2024.

Beverly Grove Spanish Bungalow

Blanco added this Spanish-Modern gem to his portfolio in January 2019, paying $2.34 million shortly after the home underwent a top-to-bottom renovation in 2018. Hidden behind gates in Beverly Grove, the 2,000-square-foot bungalow offers three bedrooms and four bathrooms. A designer kitchen—outfitted with a quartz island, Bertazzoni range, and brass hardware—opens to vaulted living areas featuring beamed ceilings and hardwood floors. The primary suite includes a skylit hallway, walk-in closet, and a spa-inspired bath. Outside, a sleek new pool and a detached garage (primed for conversion) complete the package.

Malibu Beach House

Once a rare slice of old-school coastal charm, Blanco’s Malibu beach house was tragically lost in the Palisades Fire earlier this year. Purchased for nearly $4.4 million in September 2018, the 1,000-square-foot cottage—previously owned by actor Edward Norton—sat directly on Las Flores’s “Dog Beach,” offering 38 feet of coveted ocean frontage and a secret surf break. Split into two units, the home channeled a laid-back, bohemian vibe with exposed beams, bamboo floors, a mustard yellow wood stove, and a tiki hut perched above the sand. Before the sale, Norton had reportedly rented the property for $15,000 a month.

West Hollywood Mini-Compound

Back in April 2015, Blanco expanded into West Hollywood with the $2.13 million purchase of a sleek, modern mini-compound. The 2,750-square-foot property features a four-bedroom, three-bath main house and a private guesthouse. Inside, an airy open floor plan connects the designer chef’s kitchen with generous living areas, while the primary suite boasts a grand walk-in closet and spa-style bath. Outdoors, a large yard with a swimming pool and deck rounds out this stylish urban retreat.

Chelsea Loft – Manhattan

Earlier this month, Blanco officially bid farewell to his longtime Manhattan bachelor pad after nearly a year on the market. Originally purchased in October 2011 for $3.45 million, the 2,200-square-foot loft in the iconic Chelsea Mercantile building sold for $3.6 million in April 2025—just under the asking price, but still a modest gain. The two-bedroom, three-bath residence blended modern design with vibrant, eclectic artwork. Highlights included a sprawling open-concept living area, a sleek all-white kitchen with marble accents, and a secluded primary suite with a luxe bath. Building amenities include a 24-hour doorman, fully equipped gym, and a landscaped rooftop terrace with panoramic city views.

Encino Estate

Gomez continues to own a stunning estate in Encino, originally custom-built in 1989 for rock legend Tom Petty and his then-wife, Jane Benyo. Acquired in March 2020 for $4.9 million, the expansive 11,000-square-foot residence features six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and a range of luxury amenities—from a gym and massage room to a wine cellar and fully updated recording studio. Though extensively renovated, the estate maintains its original charm. The lower level includes a creative workspace, soundproof vocal booth, and a private guest suite. Outside, the property is framed by canyon views and features a resort-style pool and spa, cabana, fire pit, and a waterfall that feeds into a serene stream.

Woodland Hills Retreat

Since 2017, Gomez has also held onto a warm and welcoming estate in Woodland Hills, purchased for $1.8 million. Built in 1949 and spanning half an acre, the gated 3,500-square-foot home includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Inside, it offers rich hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and ample natural light throughout. The chef’s kitchen boasts Wolf appliances and quartz countertops, while the family room showcases wood-beamed ceilings and a cozy home theater. The primary suite includes a walk-in closet, fireplace, and a spa-style bathroom. The outdoor space is equally inviting, with a pool, fire pit, and a full outdoor kitchen. The property is currently home to Gomez’s mother, Mandy, and her stepfather, Brian Teefey.
