Donald Trump came into power yesterday with a bang and he made sure that he stayed true to all of his promises made during his campaign trail.
This includes shutting down the border entry with Mexico, minutes after he took office.
This added a major barrier to thousands of migrants who could no longer cross into the US. Heartbreaking images of migrants awaiting entry to the US were released including one elderly woman from Columbia.
She became so overcome with emotion after the president chose to axe the CBP One app moments after the inauguration ceremony.
The woman was one of many trying their level best to cross into El Paso from the neighboring Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez. This left her and many others stranded.
Every outstanding appointment through the app was canceled when the President entered the White House and that caused a moment of panic for those wishing to get through.
This meant that anyone who was not from the US would no longer be allowed to cross the border without proper documents and information confirming their legal status and purpose. All existing appointments have also been canceled as per the website.
